Goat Cheese Crusted Lamb Chops With Beets

This is a dish from my five-course goat cheese menu which I put together as a project at the French Culinary Institute.

These beet ravioli were really interesting to make. The whole dish started with the desire to use them, and the lamb was a great match for their earthy flavor. READ MORE...

Contributing

So you'd like to dive in and help? Please do!

Don't stop with just recipes either, our guide sections will need lots of help too.

There will be an expanded version of this guide on the Contributing page, as eventually I'd like to put something else in this box and move a smaller version of this lower on the main page.

For help getting started, check out the User's Guide to learn the basics, then take a look at the formatting and source of some other recipes on the site. For help specific to editing with examples, visit the Help:Editing page at wikimedia.

Some other tips:

  • Recipe Entry
    • Please follow the conventions of layout etc, having to re-edit every new contribution won't be fun for anyone.
    • Follow the same basic pattern as the other recipes and please try to keep your image sizes under 80k if possible.
    • Choose your images intelligently, we don't need to see a picture of boiling water for a "boil water" step.
    • Add your categories, you can add as many as you want, so make sure it's linked to everything applicable. No one will find your masterpieces otherwise.
  • Categories
    • Pay close attention to spelling and when creating a new category please stick to existing naming conventions. For example as a general rule the ingredient categories are all singular, i.e. Potato not potatoes. While other categories such as Sauces or Desserts will be plural. Until you're familiar with the categories, please double check before posting as cleaning those up can be a pain.
    • When creating a new subcategory, remember to add its parent category into your entry. (i.e. add [[category:Main Ingredients]] into your entry for Celery

Lastly, If you want to add a variation to another person’s recipe that is minor enough that it doesn’t warrant a completely new version, add it in a variations section at the very bottom of the recipe and sign with your user name Adding a ~~~ will add your username

We're hoping that eventually we'll be able to have this site as a quality recipe archive for all the tasty treats on the Goons with Spoons forum in the Something Awful Forums. This site can only be as good as its contributors though, so register and dig in.

Consult the User's Guide for information on using the wiki software.

A big thank you to CygnusTM and the rest of the folks from tviv.org for setup help.
