Generally chosen in an admitedly arbitrary fashion by either Toast or by some form of answer in the upkeep thread on the something awful forums. They are generally changed somewhere around once a month, but it's far from a hard rule.

Featured Recipes are generally chosen for being one or more of the following reasons:

• Especially relevant to that particular month.

• Overall appearance of a final "money shot" of the recipe.

• Particular usefulness of the dish (HoChiWaWa's chili powder being a prime example)

• Particular tastes of those choosing them.
