Coney Island Sauce

  • 2 T butter
  • 1/2 C chopped onion
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 t paprika
  • 2 t chili powder
  • 1 c ketchup (I used some generic bottled chili sauce, next time I go with ketchup)
  • bay leaf

Cook onions in butter until slightly soft. Stir in meat, salt, paprika and chili powder. Cook over medium heat until meat is lightly browned. Add bay leaf and ketchup, cook 20-30 minutes. Add a little water if it gets too thick.
