Here is one of my favorite things to make, it's really easy and tastes great. Actually this is the dish that made me love tofu.

Ingredients

  • 4 packs of Tofu
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 green bell peppers
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 1/2 cups of snap peas
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of blackbean garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sambal oelek
  • 1 tablespoon of oil

Directions

First cut your tofu in to small rectangles,then fry your tofu for 2-3 min or until golden brown on the outside and nice and soft on the inside.

Put your tofu in a bowl, then take your carrots and peel them and cut them in to small little strips -- not too thin but also not too thick. Then fry them them for about 5 min and put them in the bowl with the tofu.

Clean your snap peas and throw them in the bowl too. Now take your bell peppers, gut them and cut them up into medium sized cube-like pieces or whatever shape you like-- just not too big or not too small. They go in to the bowl also.

OK, now take your wok or pan, whatever you have, put it on your stove on MEDIUM heat. Put your tablespoon of oil in the wok and wait until the oil starts smoking; that means it's hot.

Now you have to move fast! Put in the sugar, the garlic, black bean garlic sauce and your sambal (put in the sambal last or it will explode in your face I shit you not!). Mix this until it starts to bubble. Turn the flame off and add everything in the bowl to the wok and mix it. Make sure the sauce gets everywhere. Eat warm or cooled. I hope you enjoy. :)
