The plan was to mail jam to all the old college friends and distant relatives, who normally wouldn't get christmas presents. The problem was, when we sat down to list all folk, we came up with 55.
We bought our jars from http://www.specialtybottle.com
And a bag of sugar as big as our dog.
And 10 lbs of pectin!
The small jars fit through the big holes in the canning rack, so I rigged an extra rung with a coat hanger.
